Birth
The former lead singer of Black Buddafly was born on 18 April 1983. She was born in Hamburg, Germany and has a twin sister named Safietou "Jazz" Schmahl. Also, she has an older sister called Sophie.
As far as her nationality is concerned she is European and is of Caucasian ethnicity.

Amina Buddafly belonged to a musical family. As believed, her father used to play jazz music as his hobby and her mother admired singing.

Amina Buddafly took the first step towards her career by writing songs when she was just a teenager. Later in 1997, Buddafly along with her other sisters signed their first records deal and then she also released a single under Choyce.
She was a headstrong person since her early age and knew that she wanted to do something in music. Therefore in the year 2002, Amina and her sisters moved to New York to chase their dream of becoming a famous music artist.
After some time, they were signed by J Records and Def Jam and changed their name to ‘Black Buddafly’.
As believed, when she was living in New York City, she learned to play the piano which helped her to be more sophisticated.
Over these years, Amina Buddafly has written more than 400 sings.
In the year 2013, she started her career as an independent artist & released her debut solo album titled “I AM, Pt. 1”, followed by “I AM, Pt 2” in December the same year.
Also, she released her third album titled “My Music” in the year 2015 followed by the title “Music in my Room” in December 2016.
