Early Life and Education
When in childhood, Kim was raised nearby Torrance. Ever since her childhood as believed, Kim was always a snowboard lover as his father introduced her to it in pretty early age, to be precise when she was just 4-year-old. 
At the time when she was 6 years old, she had already started competing as the member of Team Mountain High. 
Then, she got trained in Valais, Switzerland till she was 10 years old and then returned to California where she started her training again at Mammoth Mountain.
Career
In the year 2014, Kim received a silver in superpipe in the 2014 Winter X Games. 
And later, Kim earned herself a Gold in in the Winter X Games in the year 2015, when she was 14 years old which made her become the youngest gold medallist during that period of time. 
By the time she was 16 she became the first person to win back to back gold medals at an X Games.
In the year 2016, Kim won the gold medal in snowboarding at the Winter Youth Olympic Games. She earned the highest snowboarding score in Youth Olympic Games history during that time and thus was selected as the member of the Team USA’s flag bearer for the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games’s Opening Ceremony. 
Later that year, Kim was nominated for ESPYS award for Best Breakthrough Athlete.  And in the year 2018, she became the ultimate Winner at Olympic in Pyeongchang and took the Gold in the Women's Halfpipe finals.

“I was hearing a lot of rumors about him, and our relationship in general. And I’m just at a time where I didn’t really want to worry about that. So I just broke it off”
