She was born to father Richard l. Gangel and her mother Phyllis Gangel Jacob. She had a bad childhood as she could not be with both of her parents. Her father and mother divorced eleven months after her birth. Her mother was Jewish and she was raised in the Jewish faith after they were separated from her father. Regarding her personal life, Gangel’s is married. After some time of knowing, Jamie married the bestselling author named Daniel Silva. The couple looks so beautiful together and they tied their souls and knot wedding in 1988. Hence since then, its has been nearly three decades of their beautiful conjugal life.
