Janella Salvador was born in 1998 in Manila, Philippines. She was born to Jenine Desiderio, Filipina stage singer, and the lead singer of 80s band, Jualin Miguel Salvador.

Coming for a passionate family of singers, Janella Salvador was interested in performing arts and singing since a very young age.

Starting with her acting career, she made her dubet in the year 2012 when she was just 14-year-old. The teleserye was called Be Careful With My Heart (2012-2014).The series was undoubtedly successful which made her a greater star and got her opportunities became a face of different endorsements such as Palmolive hair care and Olay.
Also, she won the award for her performance in the same series as 27th PMPC Star Awards for Television for Best New Female Personality and for FAMAS Award for German Moreno Youth Achievement Award. And, in the next year, she was signed as a part of Star Magic Circle 2013.
Within three years, in 2015, Janella Salvador was signed as the leading role in ABS-CBN's Oh My G! as Sophie. Also, Janella won the the 32nd PMPC Star Awards for Movies – New Movie Actress of the Year.
In the year 2016, Janella Salvador appeared in musical drama Born for You and the next year she was chosen as a muse for BoyBandPH's single "Unli".
In 2018, she topped bills as a singing mermaid in My Fairy Tail Love Story and was cast as a lead role in So Connected alongside Jameson Blake.
In terms of music career, in 2015, Salvador was signed as Star Music’s recording artist and released her eponymous debut album Janella Salvador the same month.
Some of her known songs are "Dear Heart" and "I Can" which was played as a theme song for her show Oh My G!.
